Professional Biography

 

 

Dorian Feleppa has maintained 16 plus years of extensive experience in directing many aspects of Fitness and Nutrition wellbeing, local acting and training within a diversified network of film, television and theater, and creative artistry.  Dorian is currently working as a freelancer, providing her expertise to local theater groups and has recently performed at the Gateway playhouse for a two-week-long performance of the musical “On the Town” directed and choreographed by the award-winning Scott Thompson.  In this performance Dorian studied and played the parts of an older “grand-mother like” woman and “high society” girl in which she demonstrated a real “flair” for this role. Dorian has also been successful in her earlier years in the Fitness world as a Fitness Trainer and Figure Competitor providing training management to various clients and placed in various local and regional Figure competitions.  This overall experience has allowed her to currently be active in writing fitness articles and blogs for various local and regional bulletins/web pages on Nutrition and exercise.  Additional areas of activity and interest have been in the area of photography and art where Dorian currently is active in the creation of various types photography and painting, mainly specializing in Black and White, HDR, Abstract and Nature.Dorian Feleppa always enjoyed creativity, ever since she was a child.  Back in high school she received the best commercial artist award which had reinforced her passion for theater, acting and artistry.  After high school Dorian studied for five years all aspects of art which included a extensive range of incredible local and global history. After studying Visual Communications in Advertising Art and Design her experience in concept, color and design allowed her the opportunity to work with some notable companies in New York (such as Linx, Rowenta, Melby Advertising).  Dorian has also worked with various professional photographers and graphic designers and participated in their tactical and strategic business meeting’s and learned all aspects of advertising.  Her discipline has driven her to become a true visionary, as well as a perfectionist.

Even after spending long and challenging days to create the very best design for their clients Dorian always knew that there was something more out there for her.  She always loved to be creative so she transitioned away from Corporate Advertising.  With extensive examination of her motives and values, she then found warmth in her heart and a flair to design again but, this time on her own creative terms.  Some of her inspiring artists are Dali, Miro, Picasso, Delaunay, Vasarely, Monet, Bierstadt, Cole, Hopper, Girtin, Gaudi, and Gehry.  There is also styles of painting such as Luminism, Romanesque, Trompe-l’oeil, Neo-Impressionism, Art Nouveau, Russian avant-garde, Cubism, Op art, Precisionism, Surrealism, just to name a few.  Dorian continuously maintains great passion and vision for what she wants to create and execute, always assessing what the client would fall in love with and wishing to display in their home, business or place of establishment. This has allowed for so much more self-growth and awareness.

As a competent and results driven person with an entrepreneurial spirit Dorian has lead an impressive past which only leads to a successful future.  Dorian is creative and visionary yet organized and focused with proven success in her fields.  Dorian perinates creativity and vision by engaging all the expertise and resources surrounding her.  She has proven that success is obtained in greater levels through this entrepreneurial mindset.

Dorian holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Visual Communications and minor in Sociology, Farmingdale State University, 1998; Master’s degree in Secondary Education, Dowling College in 2002.; Various Certifications in Fitness Nutrition, Personal Trainer, CPR/AED, International Sports and Science Association/American Health Association/Idea Health and Fitness Association from 2000 – present.  Dorian grew up on Long Island, NY and has a great family and friend network.
